The BOFFO Show House will bridge art and design through installation showcasing designers and artists in a residential setting with the goal of creating a profound and relevant experience representing modern living at a visually enticing Manhattan destination. BOFFO Show House is a cutting-edge experiment in living showcasing creative furniture, décor, and art creating complete interior environments that redefine possibilities of interior space. Beyond a level of traditional staging of spaces, as would be expected in a contemporary show house, the products and selected work will be presented through powerful installations of designed objects and artwork. BOFFO Show house will feature one-of-a-kind furniture and art as well as market ready furniture and products, and antiques. Working with some of the most creative, artists, architects, designers, product manufactures, and galleries today, BOFFO with Andrew Yes will creatively assemble four unique spaces, including work by Stefan Hengst.

The Future Perfect is exhibiting both in its Great Jones Street flagship and at a satellite space at 2 Cooper Square. As the exclusive dealer for Piet Hein Eek in the United States, The Future Perfect is showcasing new, limited-edition pieces from the studio, as well as new scrapwood and aluminum work. Also debuting at the store is a never-before-seen walnut timber version of Ilse Crawford’s Seating for Eating Collection for De La Espada. A custom large-scale installation of Jason Miller’s Endless lighting series for Roll & Hill and a new project from Lindsey Adelman will be on view alongside new work for SCP from Ineke Hans, Faudet-Harrison, Matthew Hilton, Kay + Stemmer, and Donna Wilson. Timorous Beasties launches their brand-new New York Toile wallpaper, and new papers from NLXL — including the Concrete Collection by Piet Boon and Tinpapers from Merci — cover the walls. Brooklyn-based designers Elodie Blanchard and Annie Lenon both exhibit new work.

Marianne van Ooij presents new work at WantedDesign and Model Citizens NYC 2012 – New York City

Marianne van Ooij [oy] is a Brooklyn based Dutch designer who works in a variety of disciplines, including textiles, furniture design and ceramics. Marianne is trained as an industrial designer at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague in The Netherlands and at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. She also holds a Master’s Degree in psychology.

Marianne van Ooij will be showing her new Outcast plaster vases series of 8, and a series of new pillows at Wanted Design. And at Model Citizens NYC 2012 she will be showing her new Little Dutch Hero vases. These limited edition, porcelain vases (available Summer 2012) are inspired by the Holland Mania period, a curious era in American cultural history that took place in the late 19th Century.
